A Mission in
STAINED GLASS
The Church is Mission and the building it occupies should be a symbol of that Mission. It should be the “Source” from which people who come to worship get reinforced by the Holy Spirit to be God’s witness in the world in which they live.
The windows of St. John’s have been designed to praise and glorify our Lord Jesus Christ. The project was begun in 1958 and completed in 1968.
Latvian artist Leonids Linauts designed and executed St. John’s stained glass windows. His work is widely known for it’s bold abstract form and exquisite design. Mr. Linauts came to this country as a refugee in 1949.
